Vollenbrock has been a furniture designer since 1981, but is also currently a painter and a writer. His furniture designs are expertly made, sober and recognizable by their simplicity. Vollenbrock taught furniture design and interior design at the Academy of Arts in Groningen and Maastricht. He lives and works in Arnhem the Netherlands, Paris and on the Greek island of Serifos.
